The Sovereign, the Regent and the Bastion are machined from 304 stainless steel; the slim Eclipse is polished zinc alloy, which is what lets it stay light enough to wear as jewellery; and the Cardinal is stainless of a grade its maker has not yet confirmed to us in writing, which we print on its page rather than borrowing a number from the pieces beside it. The locking collars close on a lock built into the band rather than a padlock swinging at the front, and are sized for men's or women's necks rather than a single universal circumference.
The range runs from the slim Eclipse neck ring to the 12 mm-wall Bastion. The Sovereign is a 20 mm flat-band collar; the Regent is wider and listed around 0.8 kg. The Cardinal uses four welded rings instead of one, allowing compatible light connections to approach from different directions. The useful differences are material, inner opening, mass, closure and ring layout—not an invented idea of who each size is for.

Questions buyers actually ask
The slim Eclipse is designed to: at 11.5 mm of round bar it reads as a neck ring rather than as equipment, and passes unremarked under a collar or scarf. The Sovereign's 20 mm flat band is borderline — plainly a piece of jewellery, plainly deliberate. The Regent, the Bastion and the Cardinal are not public pieces and are not meant to be: a wide band, a 12 mm wall, or four rings catching the light will all be read for what they are. Every collar here is solid metal. The Sovereign, the Regent and the Bastion are 304 stainless; the Eclipse is polished zinc alloy; the Cardinal is stainless of a grade the maker has not yet confirmed to us, and we will not print a number we cannot show you. Any of them is enough metal that an airport walk-through detector may pick it up, so travel with the key. Travel with the key, and expect to explain a neck ring rather than a restraint.
The lock is machined into the band itself rather than hung on a padlock at the front, so there is nothing to catch on bedding or clothing. The Sovereign and the Regent open with a key. A wearer cannot open either without the key. That is the point of the design and also its risk: test every supplied key, keep the working release key within reach, and never leave a restrained person alone.
The Sovereign and the Regent are listed as 304 stainless. Chlorine bleach and steel wool are unsuitable care choices for stainless surfaces; clean and dry the piece by the material-specific guide. Austenitic stainless steel can contain nickel, and the Eclipse is polished zinc alloy rather than stainless. No independent nickel-release report is published, so a diagnosed metal allergy should be treated as unresolved rather than answered by a grade name.
Measure around the base of the neck, where a collar rests above the collarbones and below the larynx, with the tape horizontal all the way round and the head neutral. Then allow two fingers of clearance — always two at the neck, whatever a piece looks like when snug. If you fall between sizes, take the larger. Our collars are cut to a women's or a men's internal diameter rather than to one universal circumference; exact figures are in the sizing guide. Those figures are the makers' stated values, not ones we have measured on production samples yet, and we say so there too.
The Eclipse is listed at 180–320 g depending on size. The Sovereign is around 400 g, the Cardinal 0.7–0.95 kg and the Regent about 0.8 kg. The Bastion has a 12 mm wall, but its mass has not been verified and is not estimated here. More mass changes fatigue and fit; use shorter checks when trying an unfamiliar weight and stop for pain, numbness, tingling, coldness or breathing discomfort.
