Stainless Steel Spreader Bars

A spreader bar decides a width and keeps it. Unlike a chain, it will not let the limbs come back together — it fixes a posture at limb scale, which is a different thing from binding a single joint. Both bars here are machined from polished 304 stainless steel in three threaded sections that lock on domed cap nuts and read as one clean length of steel: no telescoping, no rattle, nothing to slip under load.

The Vantage is the bare bar: seven locking positions from 62 to 93 cm, four screw-in eyelet rings that take clips, cuffs or chain, packing down to a third of its length in a plain sealed carton. The Meridian is the whole rig in one box — the same polished bar with four full-grain leather cuffs and double-ended snap clips, so there is nothing left to source. Both come in gold or silver.

Because a spreader is a rigid restraint, the guides on rigid versus chain and on measuring for fit apply here too — set the width once, and it stays exactly where you put it.
