A pair of hinged ankle bands that close on a screw rather than a key. There is no lock to spring and no catch to work loose — to take them off, someone has to fetch a driver. That is the whole idea: this is a piece for wearing rather than for a session. The two bands are independent, each with its own welded ring, so they are worn as a pair but coupled only if you clip something between them.

01A screw, not a key
Removed with a tool, on purpose.
A key can be palmed, dropped, or turned in a moment of doubt. A countersunk screw cannot: taking these off is a small deliberate job with a driver. If you want something you can open in one movement, buy the Oath ankle set instead — we would rather sell you the right piece than the heavier one.
02Two bands, not a hobble
Independent unless you couple them.
The bands are not joined to each other. Each carries its own welded ring, so worn alone they restrain nothing — they are simply on. Clip a chain between the rings and they become a hobble; clip them to something else and they become anchor points. What they are depends on what you attach, which is the opposite of how a fixed set works.
03Seven millimetres
Enough wall to feel, little enough to wear.
A 7 mm wall on a 2 cm band puts about 0.6 kg on the ankles across the pair — present with every step, but nowhere near the roughly 5 kg of the Anvil irons.
How it rigs
Fit each band over the narrowest part of the ankle, close the hinge, and drive the screw home — snug, not tight, with one to two fingers of clearance all the way round. Keep the driver somewhere you can find it in the dark. Because these need a tool to remove, do not treat them as a restraint you can undo quickly, and nothing we carry is rated to carry body weight.
Care
Warm water, pH-neutral soap, dry completely. Never chlorinated cleaners or steel wool. Check the screw before each wear and do not overtighten it — the thread is in steel, not in you.
